We know, we've been preaching about bobs for what seems like forever but if you haven't experienced some form of the cut in your life we truly encourage it! Thanks to Hollywood's elite the bob has taken many textures, lengths and styles over the past few years. Harper's Bazaar just published a fabulous gallery of our fave interpretations of the look. Feeling a bit nostalgic..

HAUS produces two editorial collections every year and although 2011 was our very first year, we can't help but feel like it was yesterday! Oh how time flies..see the gorgeous images of "Spectre" below.

"HAUS Salon's Fall/Winter 2011 Collection: Spectre, is a haunting romantic ghost story. In order to invoke a feeling of dark romance the HAUS Team chose to work with gauzy, ethereal textures that would sometimes obscure the face adding an element of mystery. The HAUS Salon Colorist Team had the unique challenge of creating haircolor for a black and white shoot. They chose to work with depth and shadowing to enhance the mysterious elements of the collection and to to work with the textures that the Stylist Team created. All of the wardrobe was designed and created by Emma Berg." -Charlie

Dream Team

Charlie + Heath spent their Sunday Funday working with local designers Emily Trevor & Lindsey Hopkins on their upcoming look books. Photographer & creative mind Chris Barfield of Color Space Editions shot the look books in his space. Check out some behind the scenes below:

Both hair and makeup had an Eastern World feel that maintained a continuation of the story Lindsey tells with her pieces. Charlie created a geometric topknot with white tape (A typical unplanned, yet very creative moment) found in a corner of Chris' space. Heath's makeup created fluidity with the colors Lindsey used in her garments. 

Emily Trevor's garments are constructed of wool and leather. A sleek, athletic yet wearable vision is seen throughout. Charlie used Oribe's Après Beach, Gel Serum & Foundation Mist to create a sleek braid on Anita. Heath used a white eyeliner to create a striking, sporty look.

Hello North Loop

We're beyond excited to announce that we've opened our second location in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis. The 730 N Washington space is a full service salon/spa specializing in cut, color, nails, massage, facial, waxing and more. Jonathon Gomez Whitney (the design brains behind both the Blowdry! Blowdry Bar & our original Nicollet location) worked with co-founder Jessica to carry on our name in a new space. We embraced the warehouse theme of the ElseWarehouse and warmed it up with beautiful pieces by Minneapolis' Evan Ishmael. Pop by for some pampering and then head downstairs for our fave Minneapolis hangout Parlour, we can't wait to see you.
